Introducing “If I Were Simone…”

Style Guide

UPDATE: Currently offline. We’ll be relaunching the feature in 2011! Stay tuned!

Assume the role of Ashley’s longstanding stylist Simone Harouche and help create style guides from clothing selections made exclusively by AS.net visitors!

Our first challenge is simple; Casual outing in Malibu, CA.

We’ll also have ‘real-time’ briefs (meaning MissTisdale received early confirmation that Ashley will be in attendance at a particular event!) For those challenges, be sure to check back the MissTisdale.net gallery to see if Ashley wound up wearing an ensemble similar to those submitted! Read below for some quick styling tips, guidelines, and how to submit entries.

BASIC STYLING TIPS:

Questions to ask yourself;
- Would I wear this?
- Is this outfit appropriate for the occasion? (There’s nothing worse than being over or under-dressed!)
- What’s the weather like where this occasion takes place?
- Are items chosen easy for standing/sitting/performing/walking? (If the occasion calls for lots of sitting- you might not want to pick something too tight, where it will get uncomfortable after a long period of time. If it is form-fitting, think about Lycra and other materials with stretch.)
- How might this outfit look under bright flashes? (Is it see-through?)

Keep in mind what brands, outfits, and colors Ashley has favored in the past- she goes back to those pieces for a reason!

Be daring- but don’t be silly.
- Fashion risks, if properly executed, can be great! Funky prints, interesting cuts, and unique style is always desirable both in Hollywood and every-day lifestyles. Over-the-top styling can come across costumey.

Less is more.

GUIDELINES:

Make guides as detailed (accessories, make-up/hair style, etc) or simple (dress-only or dress and shoe combo) as you like!

Provide working url links to ALL items.

Submissions must be made using the provided AS.net template. [NOTE: Use Photoshop, Paint or other comparable programs to properly lay out guides.]

Use the guide below to assemble your look. If you run out of space, list additional items versus cramming images together- all items should be seen clearly. *Ashley Tisdale ‘paper doll’ image used c/o .StarDoll.

Deadline: Tuesday, November 30th

After the submission deadline, a round of voting open to all site viewers will determine which “stylist” had the best look. Good luck and most importantly- HAVE FUN!

NOTE: Staff will be allowed to submit guides, however they are NOT eligible to be contenders in viewer voting polls.
